CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FLOWRIDER INC STAND UP FLOWBOARDS™ We are confident that you will love the feel of your new board. Nowhere else can you get a Flowboard with this level of performance, customization and attention to detail. Following these few simple “tips” will help you better maintain a longer life for your new board so you can get as many hours use as you can handle. Thank you for your support of FLOWRIDER and Flowboarding.™ TIP
#1: Avoid excessive temperatures and give the board a chance to dry. DO NOT EXPOSE BOARDS TO LONG PERIODS OF INTENSE HEAT (LIKE INSIDE YOUR VEHICLE) AND/OR SUNLIGHT. OVER TIME THIS WILL CAUSE DELAMINATION OF THE EVA AND DAMAGE OR DISCOLORATION OF THE BOARD. IF YOU GET A BUBBLE IN THE EVA USE A NEEDLE OR RAZOR BLADE, MAKE A SMALL HOLE IN THE BUBBLE AND LET THE AIR ESCAPE THE EVA WILL RE-APPLY ITSELF TO THE BOARD. A DROP OF SUPER GLUE OR SILICONE CAN BE PUT OVER TO COVER THE INCISION. TIP
#2: STORAGE AND CARE ARE KEY. STORING YOUR BOARD ON A HARD SURFACE OR REPEATEDLY PUTTING YOUR BOARD ON THE NOSE OR TAIL WILL RESULT IN SHORTER LIFESPAN OF THE BOARD. THE EVA MATERIAL WILL WEAR OUT AFTER TIME. THE ONLY SURFACE YOUR BOARD SHOULD COME IN CONTACT WITH IS THE RIDE SURFACE. TIP
#3: IF YOU MAINTAIN IT, IT WILL LAST. IF YOU CRACK OR DAMAGE THE BOARD, GET IT FIXED RIGHT AWAY. IF YOU RIDE THE BOARD WHILE DAMAGED YOU WILL CAUSE FURTHER DAMAGE MAKING IT HARDER OR IMPOSSIBLE TO FIX LATER. SUPER GLUE WORKS VERY WELL WHEN RE-APPLYING THE EVA TO THE BOARD, OTHER SILICONE PRODUCTS LIKE SPONGE REZ™ OR MARINE GOOP™ ALSO WORK. INSPECT THE BOARD AFTER EACH USE!!!! TIP
#4: BIG TRICKS = BIG RISK TO YOU AND YOUR BOARD. AGGRESSIVE RIDING MAY RESULT IN EXCESSIVE DAMAGE TO YOU AND YOUR BOARD. THE NATURE OF THE SPORT, THE SPEED OF THE WATER, AND THE IMPACT THE BOARD HAS WITH DIFFERENT AREAS OF THE RIDE AND OR RIDER, CAN ALL HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE LIFESPAN OF YOUR BOARD. EVEN WITHOUT EXTREME RIDING, THE BOARDS HAVE A LIMITED LIFETIME. TIPS
#5 RECOAT THE BOTTOM OF THE BOARD WITH CLEAR ACRYLIC OR ENAMEL TO KEEP IT SEALED YOU CAN SPRAY CLEAR ACRLYIC/ENAMEL ON THE BOTTOM OF THE BOARD TO EXTEND THE LIFE AND SEAL ANY CRACKS OR CHIPS. BIGGER HOLES SHOULD BE PROFESSIONALLY REPAIRED.
